Board of Trustees
At the June Board meeting, proposals to restructure the Foundation Board and committees to provide streamlined efficiency and cost effectiveness were adopted. The following proposals were approved unanimously:
- The Board was reduced from 12 to 8 members.
- Board membership will include President, Vice-President, Secretary/Treasurer, 3 Advisory Chairs, and one at-large member.
- Three “Advisory” Groups were established focusing on the following three areas: Awards/Scholarships, Research Fellowships, and Oral History Projects. These three areas will be the primary focus areas for the Foundation. The chair of each Advisory will serve as a member of the Board. Both Board members and non-board members are welcomed to serve as members of each Advisory.
- An Executive Director position was created.
