10th Anniversary

This year, The Foundation for the History of Women in Medicine is celebrating its 10th Anniversary commemorating ten years of success in promoting and preserving the history of women in medicine and the medical sciences.

The Foundation commenced its 10th Anniversary year by hosting its 9th Annual Alma Dea Morani, M.D. Renaissance Woman Award and Lecture Presentation at The College of Physicians of Philadelphia on October 1, 2008, honoring Ellen R. Gritz, Ph.D., an established leader in cancer prevention and control research and internationally known investigator. Dr. Gritz's keynote address was Women and Smoking: The Challenges to Preventive Medicine on a National and Global Scale.
